Police in Burnaby, British Columbia, have made a break through in a murder mystery. In July 2017, 13-year-old Marrisa Shen vanished. Her body was found in a park, and no arrests were ever made — until now, IHIT (Integrated Homicide Investigation Team) of RCMP in B.C. reports, a 28-year-old man Ibrahim Ali who came to Canada from Syria has been charged with first-degree murder. He came to Canada 17 months ago as a “refugee”, according to IHIT. Officer in charge of the investigation said they did not know whether he was sponsored by the govt or by a private. He raped and murdered Marrisa Shen after he came to Canada for only three months.
